ALCESTIS I. PERRY (nee Bishop), age 84
of Cleveland Heights passed away peacefully on December 7th ending her long illness with dementia. Beloved wife of the late Robert. Loving mother of Robert (Janice) Rocky River, Thalia (John) Lausanne, Switzerland. Grandmother to Robby (Jessica) Rocky River. Kevin (Victoria) Hilton Head and great grandmother Ezra HHI. Sister to Electra, Palo Alto CA.
Music, family and friends were a large part of her life. She graduated with distinction from Eastman School of Music and the University of Illinois. Alcestis taught and performed at the Aspen Music School and Festival. She attended Interlochen Music Camp as a student, later as a violin teacher and coach. In Cleveland, Alcestis was the concertmaster for the Ohio Chamber Orchestra and a violin teacher.
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, April 23 at 6pm at Rocky River United Methodist Church (Main Sanctuary), 19414 Detroit Rd, Rocky River, 44116.
