Alpina Jedsia Hamilton went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 29, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wallace Lee Hamilton Sr., dear parents Howard N. Mabins Sr. and Ruby White Mabins, sister Marlyn Brown, and brother Melvin Mabins. She is survived by her loving children Chante’ Monique Logan (Timothy), Kaffia Tamaeka Bishop (Antoine), Wallace Lee Hamilton Sr., William Jessie Hamilton (Taylor), and Wyman Scott Hamilton (Alani), along with eleven cherished grandchildren.
Alpina was born in Missouri and spent her early years there before moving to Cleveland, Ohio. Later in life, she moved to Lake Lure, North Carolina, where she enjoyed many happy years before returning to Cleveland after the death of her beloved husband, Wallace.
A talented musician, Alpina mastered the piano and delighted in sharing her magnificent alto vocals in her local church choir. Music was one of her many passions, and she used her talents to bring joy to those around her. Her dedication to her family was unparalleled; she poured endless love and devotion into her children and grandchildren, always putting their needs before her own.
Alpina’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She shared her deep love for the Lord with her children, grandchildren, and many friends and family members, guiding them with her wisdom and unwavering belief. Her love for life was evident in her infectious laugh and joyful spirit.
Her children remember her as a loving and devoted mother whose memory they will forever cherish. Alpina’s legacy of love, faith, and music will live on through them and the countless lives she touched.
A graveside remembrance will be held in Lake Lure, North Carolina, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Alpina Jedsia Hamilton. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
