BJ Showman

BJ Showman transitioned to heaven peacefully on March 9th, 2025, at 4PM at the Hospice of Western Reserve in Euclid. She was surrounded by her family and a few friends during this difficult time. She looked like a sleeping beauty at the time of her death. A private individual, she chose not to disclose her illness publicly. This news may be unexpected for many of those who knew and cared for her. BJ lived her life independently and on her own terms.

BJ was always engaged in various activities, earning her the nickname Bizzy Jay. Despite experiencing significant physical pain in her final years, she continued to work diligently as a dentist, participate in various activities, and support her friends and family. She impacted the lives of people around her with generosity and joy. Her presence will be remembered by all. She influenced others to lead more enjoyable and fulfilling lives.

BJ was an amazing dentist who improved hundreds of smiles. Her dental talents were magical. She had more than 53 years of experience in the dental field.

BJ was cremated and will be interred at the Acacia Memorial Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, Ohio beside her parents, Joan and Samuel Showman. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Showman-Nelson (husband Gunnard Nelson), brother David L. Showman (fiancé Teresa), nieces, Jessica Showman (son DJ) and Jennifer Chmielewski (husband Daniel and son, Noah), nephews Daniel Showman (wife Megan and son, Daniel), David Showman, Jr., Ian Nelson and Wyatt Nelson (fiancé, Chelsea).

BJ was a faithful daughter, friend, sister, aunt, and doctor who was one of a kind. We all love you BJ Showman. Rest in peace.
