Obituary

It is with a heavy heart and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Blake Moore on April 20, 2026.

Blake Micah Moore was born on July 9, 1978, to Vera and Eddie Moore. He was one of three children in their family, forming a close bond with his siblings as they grew up together.

Blake attended Bedford High School, where he successfully graduated. Throughout his time at school, he was avid in sports, becoming a valued member of both the football and basketball teams. His athletic talents extended beyond these sports, as he earned medals for his outstanding performance in bowling.

Blake was a kind person and avoided conflict, rarely arguing or knowingly causing hurt. He was known for his infectious laughter and joyful spirit. He loved reminiscing and laughing about something in his past and sharing stories with those around him. His cheerful demeanor and warm smile left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and his laughter will be deeply missed. Blake was a hard worker and worked up until the day of his death.

Family was always at the center of Blake’s life. He was a devoted son, a loving brother. He often expressed to his mother how much he wanted to raise his own children with the same unconditional love that his mother showed her children. He succeeded, becoming a father who cherished moments spent going to movies, Cavaliers and the Cleveland Brown games with his children. His goal was to see their milestones, such as attending their proms, graduations, and participating in Father’s Day events at their school. (He made it to see his youngest Kiymora to attend Junior Prom, and his eldest daughter Lakiya attend prom and graduate from high school, (he was one proud Daddy). He was devoted and loved his children Lakiya and Kiymora and was very proud of them.

Blake is survived by his mother, Vera IvaNell Pollard; his sister, Concetta Moore; his two daughters, Kiymora Moore and Lakiya Ballard; his aunt, Bernice Jackson; numerous cousins; his close friend Keshia Ballard, and his lifelong best friend, Greg Cole, whom Blake credited for unwavering support throughout his life. He was preceded in death by father, Eddie Moore and brother, Eddie Nicklas Moore.

I am looking forward to seeing Blake again based on Jehovah God’s promise found at Acts 24:15 were it states. “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”
