Carmen R DiPalma

July 6, 1947 — July 8, 2022

Carmen R DiPalma, age 75, beloved wife of Donald DiPalma, loving mother of Dena and Tony (Dawn) DiPalma, devoted grandmother of Joseph and Michael DiPalma, daughter of Albert (Casey) and Minnie Mundell (both deceased), sister of: Louise (Forrest) Solomon, preceded in death by sister Eileen (Dale) Glinka and brother Nelson Mundell, sister in law of Rita (Lawrence) Klemin and Nino (Mary Ann) DiPalma, aunt of Kevin (Jodi Rae) Solomon, Christine (Steve) Smith, Dwane (April) Solomon, Tisha (DJ) Pack, Keith (Rachael) Glinka, Katie (Chris) Neligh, Laura Martin, Peter (Jill) Klemin, Joy DiPalma, Kristy (Michael Cain) DiPalma, and Nina DiPalma.

Born the daughter of a coal miner and homemaker in Carmichaels PA, Carmen has always been a hardworking, loving, caring woman with a strong Faith in God. Her family was always her primary focus. She worked extremely hard to support and raise her children. She wanted to be a schoolteacher, but life directed her to Ohio Bell, where she worked until she retired in 2009. During her tenure she was well respected, inspired camaraderie, and during her last phase she
kept a group of linemen organized and on task.

The other theme of Carmen's life was her absolute faith in God. She was involved in all facets of each of her congregations, from leadership roles to Sunday School teacher. She always had a smile greeting all worshipers and could often be found organizing and/or hosting events. It is with this strong faith that she met the many challenges that life put in front of her with calm patience and perseverance.

Carmen was an important role model, family member, and friend in many, many peoples lives. Her steady, loving presence will be deeply missed.
