CHARLES S PEDONE, mourned by family and friends. Charlie was a long-time resident of Cleveland, Maple Heights and Streetsboro. He went into the arms of our Heavenly Father peacefully in Columbus, Ohio. Born and raised in Cleveland, he served in the United States Army Air Corps in WWII as a member of the 5th Bomber Squadron. He was a good provider for his family and friends, and was always active in community and charitable events. After serving his country, he soon became involved with his family business and his passion for boating. He managed Edgewater and Gordon Park Marinas for the City of Cleveland in the 1960's and was the original manager of the 55th Street Marina. As a Plastering and General Contractor, he was elected President of the Ohio State Lathing and Plastering Association. During his career, he oversaw many home and apartment projects, and during the 1970's owned and operated Pedone Nursing Center and the first assisted living facility in the state of Ohio. He also contributed in the construction of Pacelli Hall at John Carroll University. Charles S. Pedone was the beloved husband of Marian (nee Fioritto) (deceased), loving father of Salvatore (Dottie), Charles Jr. (Betty), Robert (Annette) and Charlene Smith (Robert), devoted grandfather of Carrie Newman (Paul), Nicole (Santana), Sarah Smith, Matthew (Taylor), Robert Smith (Cassie) and Lauren, great grandfather of 5, loving son of Sam and Rose (nee Bucchieri) (both deceased), dear brother of Salvatore (Mary), James (Ann), Frances Bennett and the following deceased: Anita Evans and Providence Hollander.
