Our hearts are so broken at the untimely death of our first born son, Claudio. Parents are not supposed to bury their children and I would take his place in a minute if I could. Claudio was a loving and very caring son, never selfish and always giving whenever he saw a less fortunate person. His father and I would try to make him understand that he shouldn't be so trusting because people will use you and bring you down.
To everyone who knew Claudio, they knew how intelligent he was especially in the field of computers. Claudio read fluently by the time he entered kindergarden and by the time he went to 1st grade, his father bought him his first desk PC Gateway 2000. He was so intrigued by it that he read the entire operating system manual within that year When it came time to choose a high school, he chose Euclid High School because he was so impressed with their computer lab and he excelled in this field with the help of his teacher, Mr. Pignatello. Claudio became so knowledgeable that he would assist Mr. Pignatello in preparing the lessons of the day. Claudio received The Euclid Rotary Club Vocational Award, Career Tech Prep, and Networking/CISCO award. Claudio also received the Certificate of Recognition Award from The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Board of Regents for first-place honors in the National TestOut Challenge of Information Technology knowledge and skills. Claudio was honored by then Governor Taft in Columbus for this and other awards.
Claudio is our loving son and no time in this world will ever take the hurt away his father and I feel. We are sorry that due to this Coronavirus a proper Catholic Mass is not possible at this time, but a memorial Mass will be held in his name once the virus is contained.
Claudio passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 and is survived by his daughter Gianna, his mom JoAnn and dad Gianfranco, his brother Carlo and sister-in-law Paige, nephews Luca and Lorenzo.
Claudio is now in heaven with his sister Cristina and his grandparents, Giovanni and Ida Gentile, and Danilo and Maria Cromaz.
May you rest in peace with the angels until we meet again, we love you so very much and always have been so very proud of you....
Your mom and dad
