Coletta M. (nee Curtis) Bonnett

August 2, 1940 — April 7, 2020

COLETTA M. BONNETT (nee Curtis), age 79, passed away April 7, 2020 at home under the care of Hospice of The Western Reserve. Beloved wife and soulmate for 61 years of Alexander "Bill", loving mother of Allison Kratzoff (Mike), Coleen Potts (Jim), and Renè Houdek (Greg, deceased), cherished grandmother of Sean Potts, Lauren Houdek, Alyson Siegel (Caleb) and Cory Hajde (Dad, Warren Hajde); daughter of Coletta J. and James U. Curtis (both deceased), dear sister of James J. (deceased) and treasured companion of Missy, our rescued and lovable dog.
Alex and Coletta were co-owners of Bonnett's Home Maintenance and Decorating, Inc. from 1969 until 2005. She graduated from Ursuline Academy of the Sacred Heart High School and was a participant in the Cleveland Catholic Diocese Pastoral Ministry program for 4 years. After that time, Coletta worked as a full-time receptionist for the Cleveland Clinic Coronary Intensive Care Unit until her retirement in 2016; she loved taking vacations with her husband and mini-trips (Sea World, Cleveland Indians Spring Training, etc.) with their grandchildren. Coletta had one passion in life, the NFL and the Cleveland Browns, where, while working at the American Heart Assoc. in 1968, she would frequently take her lunch watching the Browns practice next door at Fleming Field on East 115th Street. Coletta had requested her body be donated to the Cleve. Clinic Donation Program, however, due to COVID-19, this program has been suspended.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Community of St. Peter, 7100 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland at a later date.
