Major Cristina A. Carnevale, US Army, Ret., age 59, cherished daughter of Mario and Antoinette (nee Niro) Carnevale, beloved sister of Maria Carnevale-Fuligni (husband Christopher Fuligni), devoted aunt of Max and Isabella Fuligni, loving niece and cousin of the Niro and Carnevale families, and dear friend of many.
Cristina graduated from John Carroll University with an ROTC Scholarship, joining the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant. She began her career with the army, traveling the world and was stationed at a number of bases. Cristina was commissioned into the Patriot Missile System, and it was her unit that began the attack on SCUD missiles during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. She loved the Army and was proud of serving her country, ultimately earning the rank of Major. Cristina worked as Deputy Inspector General with the United Nations while stationed at Fr. Bliss Army Base, Texas.
Upon her retirement from the Army, Cristina worked as a Human Resource Manager for several large corporations, including Eaton, Rockwell International, Allen Bradley and Koehler.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO GATHER FOR MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL 10 am, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2 AT SAINT COLUMBKILLE CHURCH, 6740 Broadview Road, Parma, OH 44134. followed by Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
