Darlene K Petralia

Darlene K. (née. Reall) Petralia was born on June 20th, 1951 in Weirton, WV to her loving parents, Oscar "Bud" and Fannie (née. Barbera) Reall (both deceased) and older sister, Patricia (late husband Arthur Klein). The family soon moved to Cleveland, OH, where she grew into the strong-willed and caring woman many were fortunate to know and love.

Darlene and John R. Petralia (deceased) fell in love at the age of 14 in Murray Hill and built a beautiful life together, always surrounded by friends and family. Darlene was the dear mother of Joseph Petralia (deceased), Carla Patti, and Shelly LaSalvia (Christopher); beloved grandmother of Nina Patti and Gianna, Colette, and John LaSalvia; and cherished aunt and friend to many. She found immense joy in doting on her loved ones and hosting guests in her home, which she took great pride in, for holidays and birthday parties. Her family will remember her dancing in the kitchen with excitement while preparing her “bird” to be placed among a truly picturesque spread. Devoted friends such as Vince Ferritto and Bonnie Berwitt ensured her home remained filled with life.

Darlene was reunited with her beloved husband, John, on April 20, 2025. While her passing is announced with great sadness, the family takes comfort knowing they are together again.

Interment Knollwood Cemetery. Funeral Services 11 am Monday at THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD RD, LYNDHURST (E OF RICHMOND RD) WHERE FRIENDS MAY CALL 2-5 PM SUNDAY.
