It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Diane DiVincenzo, who left this world peacefully at home on April 20, 2026.

Born on January 8, 1949, in Painesville, Ohio, Diane’s life was defined by her warmth, devotion, and kindness, touching everyone she met in a lasting way. Diane was the beloved daughter of John (Bud) and Betty (Shunkwiler) Jacobson, who preceded her in death, along with her dear brother, John Robert "Bob" Jacobson.

Though we mourn her passing we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with them. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, John DiVincenzo. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventures.  Diane was the proud and loving mother of two daughters, Celeste (Michael Forsyth) and Melanie (Maclain Lobdell), who carry forward her legacy in kindness and strength.  Diane’s sister, Patricia Jacobson, also survives her, sharing in the memories of a life well-lived.  Diane cherished her role as a grandmother and showered her seven grandchildren: Sam, Luke, Ryan, Ben, Emily, Alex, and Nathan with love.  Each of them brought immense joy to her life and she treasured the moments spent watching them grow and thrive.

After graduating from Harvey High School, Diane pursued further education at Kent State University, which laid the foundation for her future endeavors.  Her passion for helping others led her to a fulfilling career at CEVEC, where she served as a job trainer for young adults with special needs for 20 years.  Later, she transitioned to the role of secretary for CEVEC, where she continued to touch lives until her retirement.

Diane’s love for animals was evident to all who knew her. In her younger years, she rode horses, finding calm and happiness in their gentle strength.  She also cherished the companionship of her beloved cats and dogs at home.  Diane found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like vacationing at the sun-kissed beaches of Florida surrounded by friends and family.

Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who supported them during this difficult time.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at a later date, where her spirit and the joy she brought to the world will be remembered and honored. Diane will always hold a place in our hearts and will be profoundly missed.
