DOMINICK J CALO

Dominick J. Calo, age 82. Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Comstock). Loving father of Wendy Bryant, Diane Martz (John) and James Calo (Jill). Devoted grandfather of Daniel, Tara, Holly and Jared and 2 great grandchildren. Dom graduated from East Tech High School in Cleveland and Ohio University in Athens with a degree in education. He spent most of his teaching career at Monticello Junior High School in the Cleveland Heights - University Heights School District, retiring in 1985. While teaching he went to school at Great Lakes College and earned a Doctor of Mechanotherapy degree. He practiced his profession for over 40 years. He loved to travel. Dom was thrilled that he was able to visit the town of his heritage Oriolo, Italy. Other trips included Greece, Australia, Galapagos, Alaska, Hawaii and a few Caribbean cruises. He built and flew model airplanes and was an amateur radio operator with contacts across the globe. He will be greatly missed.
