Earl James Behrend

E. James Behrend, December 25, 1926 to March 13, 2013. Dad, if you are reading this, you finally made it! He was the oldest member of a great and extended family connecting Behrend, Mahoney, Nugent, and Mulcahey groups. He is survived by; Sister Ruth Marie O.S.U.; Brother-in-Law George W. Schromm; Children: Timothy (Maren), Robert (Marya), Susan (John) Coyne, William (Dee), Nancy (Richard Croll) Neylon, and Karen (Gene Worthington) Vuranch; 24 Grandchildren; and 32 Great Grandchildren and counting. Preceded in death by his Parents Earl & Dorothy Behrend; Brother William John; his two Wives: Patricia Mary Ravencraft (23 years), Gladys Evelyn Frischkorn Vuranch (33 years); and Son Michael James, Sr. Jim volunteered 50-years to the Boy Scouts of America and was awarded the highest honor of The Silver Beaver Award in 1985. Jim worked the Flying Turns at Euclid Beach Park, was a WWII veteran, and retired from Hickok Electric after 57 years.
