Eddy "Ed" Bedoe

EDDY "ED" BEDOE passed away on Saturday June 19, 2021.

Loving husband of Kate (nee Mahon). Father of Dawn LaBanc and Kelly D'Ambrosia (Joe). Grandfather of Lauren and Matthew LaBanc, Taylor, Olivia and Joseph D'Ambrosia. Son of Karoly and Ibolya (both deceased). Younger brother of Frank Bedoe (Anne) and to the late Eva Thompson (nee Bedoe). Son in law to Elaine Mahon. Brother in law to Sharon Waite (Dan) and Patrick Mahon (Vania). Uncle to Julia, Thomas, Nathan Waite, Francis Mahon, Frank Jr (Jenn), Suzanne and Scott Bedoe (Samantha).

Ed was a Marine Mechanics Instructor at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center from 1978-1993. His passion for boats led him to participate in speed boat races as the team's navigator.

During those years, he also worked as a police officer with the North Royalton PD, the Chagrin Falls PD and later joined the Moreland Hills PD; where he retired in 2012 with 33 years of service.

In 2004, "Fast Eddie" joined the Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club, which consists of fellow police officers and firefighters, whose interest comprises of heavily contributing to various charitable organizations.

Ed took many trips on his motorcycle and the most memorable was his Route 66 trip from Illinois to California with his two IPMC brothers, "Alert" and "Shortbus".

Ed was an easy going, fun loving and generous person. He enjoyed traveling to Maine for lobster and also to the Big Island of Hawaii where his favorite past time was watching for hump back whales and munching on malasadas.

Kate and Ed were married for 22 years, however, they acted like newlyweds. The love they shared was genuine and they often found themselves laughing together numerous times every day.

Family and friends are invited to gather for MEMORIAL VISITATION MONDAY, JUNE 28 AT THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME 5236 MAYFIELD RD, LYNDHURST (E OF RICHMOND RD) 4-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggestions donations, in Ed's memory, to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
