Edmond M. Boehlke age 93, passed away April 8, 2013 quietly in his Lyndhurst home. He was born February 04, 1920 in Cleveland, the only child of Maximillian E. and Rose Smith Boehlke. He attended Cleveland Heights High. After serving in the 107th Ohio National Guard and in the 38th Cavalry Reconnaissance in WWII, during which he earned the Purple Heart, he returned home and met his future wife Mary, daughter of John and Irene Bradley Berger. They were married September 10, 1948 in Cleveland. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Local 120 Union, and The Cleveland Grays. He was an avid photographer. He and Mary enjoyed their early retirement years spending winters in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Donald Berger, and sister-in-law Vivian Berger, and a cousin Marian Kohl. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, his daughters Elizabeth Sedlak and Susan Bondra (James), grandchildren Sarah Sedlak Brougher (Austin), Laura Sedlak, Christopher, Carolyn and Kaitlin Bondra, and sister-in-law Jane Berger Pillot (Lawrence). He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
