Elena Manocchio

Elena Manocchio (née Discenza), age 80 and beloved wife of Marco Manocchio Sr for 62 years, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2023.  Born in Baranello, Italy, Elena immigrated to the United States in the late 1950’s and established her Italian heritage here in the US.  Her warm and open arms provided for a family of love and respect along with many ties within the Italian community.  Unselfishly, she always put family & friends first, always preparing a meal for someone regardless of what time of the day it was.  She was always the loving, caring and gentle one of the family and will be greatly missed.

Elena Manocchio (née Discenza) is survived by Marco Manocchio Sr., cherished mother of Antonio Manocchio Sr. (wife Mary Jo, deceased), Maria Rauhe, Marco Manocchio Jr. (wife Robin) and Giovanni Manocchio (wife Amanda), devoted grandma of Antonio Jr. (wife Brooke), Andrew Sr. (wife Renee), Katherine and Nicholas Manocchio, Peter M., Julia and Elena Rauhe, Marco R. and Samuel Manocchio, Alexia and Matthew Manocchio, great grandmother of Isabella, Luca, Noah, Ava, Gianna, Andrew Jr. and Dominic, loving daughter of Domenico and Maria Isabella (nee Muttillo) Discenza (both deceased), dear sister of Francesco Discenza (deceased) (wife Isabella), Antonino Discenza (deceased), Cristina Muttillo (husband Domingo) (both deceased), Assunta Gualtieri (husband Paolo) (both deceased).  Loving Comare, Aunt and friend of many.

Entombment All Saints Cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Thursday, March 9 at St. Columbkille Church, 6740 Broadview Road, Parma, OH 44134. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FORTUNA FUNERAL HOME, 7076 Brecksville Road, Independence, OH 44131 on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8 FROM 4 - 8 PM.
