EUGENE E. PAWLOWSKI, age 82

Beloved son of John A. and Angela T. Pawlowski (both deceased). Loving brother of David (deceased), Madeline Strauss (Leonard) and Jack (LuLu, deceased). Cherished uncle of David Pawlowski (Lori), Melinda Galla, Lisa Augustino (Ross), Carolyn Katrinchak (Joe), Timothy Strauss (Amy), Jennifer Pouliot (Todd), Suzanne Zak (Brian), John Pawlowski (Julie), Jackie Coletta (Dominic) and Michael Pawlowski (Cheryl). Great uncle of 21.

Eugene received a full five year scholarship to the Cleveland Institute of Art and graduated with a degree in graphic design. He becam a member of the faculty of the Art Institute where he taught Graphic Design and the art of book designing for over 50 years. Among his many credits are the Institute's annual student catalogs and the history of the Cleveland Institute -  The First 100 Years. Gene, as he was known to many, also designed books in regard to the history of Cleveland and the book "Superman at 50" - The Persistence of a Legend!

Due to failing health, he was forced to retire a few years ago.

Eugene was a true legend in the art world himself. He loved his work and he loved teaching art to his students. He truly will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
