Greg Szekely
Age 55, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on March 19th. Devoted & loving father of Katherine and Joseph. Dearest partner of Erin Houghton. Loving son of Joanne Szekely-Calhoun and Chester Szekely (both deceased). Dearest Brother of Tim (wife Tara) and loving uncle of Jacob, Samantha and Alyssa Szekely. Former spouse of Debra Szekely.
First and foremost, Greg was a Dad, proud of his twins, Katie and Joe and their accomplishments. Greg loved to travel and enjoyed taking cruises. He was a devoted sports lover, loyal to all Cleveland sports and Ohio State football. He loved to cook and enjoyed music, as his many lifelong friends can attest to—many going all the way back to grade school! His faithful furry companions are Henry, Oscar & Crystal.
Greg’s career was in nursing, because he wanted to help others as he was helped along in his cancer journey – always strong despite his challenges. He did enjoy his recent years working at Rocky Point Winery where he was well known.
Greg will be missed and remembered always for his kind heart and spirit that touched so many.
