James R Spangler, age 90 of Mayfield Hts passed away peacefully at home December 19, 2016.
Born in Cleveland September 27, 1926, James was a WWII Army Veteran. James was a letter carrier for the USPS for 35 years, retiring in 1984. An avid Photographer, he loved to photograph street cars. His pictures were used in 4 scenic picture books of Cleveland that he co-authored. James was also a serious model train enthusiast, with a large setup in his basement.
He was the Beloved husband for 48 years of the late Josephine (nee Marrone). Loving father of James Jr (Debbie) of Eastlake and Peggy Allen (Jeff) of Wickliffe. Cherished grandfather of Mackenzie, Evan, Cody, Austin and Paige. Dear brother of the late Raymond (Linda).
