John L. Brown "Brownie", age 63, beloved husband for 20 years of Theresa A. Brown (nee De Water), loving father of Nick Sirk (wife Laura) and Cory Sirk (wife Jen), devoted "Gampa" of Kylie, Charlotte, Marvin and Colton Sirk, dear son of Lawrence Brown and Madelyn Murfello (both deceased), grandson of Robert and Margaret Thomas, Lawrence and Gizella Brown (all deceased), loving brother of Rodney Brown (wife Sue) and Beverly Shoemaker, dear uncle of Anna Shoemaker, Patricia Brown (husband Austin Protiva) and Cecilia Froehlich (wife Ashley).

John was a dedicated, hard-working employee for 11 years of Tri County Electric, prior to that he worked in excavating, which he loved. His greatest joys  were his grandchildren, NASCAR and The Ocean, especially at The Outer Banks. He was a life-long resident of Auburn.

Brownie's family will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 14 from 2 to 6 pm at The Centerville Mills Park, 8558 Crackel Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. Please come prepared to share your best or funniest story of him, and wear your favorite flannel shirt, Harley shirt or NASCAR t-shirt, which would truly honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brownie's memory would be appreciated to the family to help defray his medical expenses.
