Karen Ruth Mueller

Karen Ruth Mueller passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024, at age 83. She will lovingly be missed by her husband of 64 years Walter, Son Jeff (Diane), Brother Jim Plautz, Grandchildren Max, Bailey (Doug), Sarah (Brian), Abby, Zachary and Great Grandchild Crew. Karen was also an Aunt, Cousin and Friend to so many. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mary Plautz, Son Wally (Lauren) and Grandson Andrew.

 She taught and mentored so many young people as a teacher in the Mayfield and Other Northeast Ohio School Systems for more than 25 years. She loved to play tennis, bridge, volunteer and travel. Karen and Walter hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back six times. Additionally, they attended all four tennis majors in England, France, Australia and New York to name a few of their adventures.

 Karen and Walter loved helping people and being involved. They attended more than one thousand musical performances, plays, sporting events, school ceremonies and more for their kids and grandkids.

 A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breckenridge Village Scholarship Fund which assists with the education of the many young care givers who have helped Karen and Walter over these last years.
