Lidio Salvi, loved by his wife of 57 years, Sylvia (nee DiCianno), daughters Joanne Vanover (Mike) and Louise Teringo (Steve). He is preceded in death by his parents Giovanni and Olimpia, as well as his sister Angelina. He is survived by his brother Luigi, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in Italy and Cleveland.
Lidio immigrated to Cleveland from Trasacco Italy in 1960. He loved watching football, gardening & playing cards, especially with his grandchildren. He was a very loving, active and involved Nonno with his four grandchildren, Christina, Nikki, Anthony & Sophia and grand 'fur babies' Woody and Mia.
In addition, he was a proud member of the Laborers Union Local 860. After retiring from the construction trade in 1996, Lidio enjoyed his family and was able to spend a lot of time with his grandchildren, even playing cards with them. They adored Nonno! He was a great storyteller and loved talking about "my town" and European history.
Lidio's family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the dedicated staff at The Lantern of Chagrin Valley for the attention, comfort and love they gave him in the last months of his life. We are forever grateful!
