Louis J Chorich

Louis J. Chorich, Jr. passed away peacefully at age 79 in Naples, FL on February 14, 2022. Devoted husband of 56 years to Elaine (nee: Rasoletti), loving father of Louis III MD, Christine Smallridge (Ben), and Susan (deceased). Adoring "Papa" to Will, Kristen, and Matthew Chorich, and Liam Smallridge. Son of the late Louis J. Sr. and Estelle (Apana). Dear uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
Lou was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He lettered in football at St. Ignatius High School and graduated from John Carroll University where he was pledge master for Delta Alpha Theta fraternity. It was there that he met Elaine, his devoted wife of 56 years.
He began his business career as a sales engineer for Honeywell. He was a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers. He went on to work for MCC Powers and Thermal Products before joining Simplex Fire and Security in Gardner, Massachusetts. He retired from Simplex as VP of Field Operations. He had an incredible work ethic and will be remembered as a great leader and mentor to his many colleagues. He took sincere pleasure in helping people reach their full potential. Some remarkable careers were launched under his guidance.
Upon retirement, Lou and Elaine spent their winters in Naples, FL. They enjoyed sharing their home with visiting family and friends. Lou was a man of deep faith and integrity. His legacy is marked by his love of family, his kindness, and his generosity.
Family and Friends are invited to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Our Lady Chapel at Gilmour Academy, 34001 Cedar Rd., Gates Mills, OH followed by Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Friends in Cleveland may call on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM at THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME,5236 Mayfield Rd, Lyndhurst, OH 44124 (East of Richmond Rd.)
