LOUIS R. DI VITO, loving father of three, dear brother of Marie Di Vito Fratus, cherished uncle of Bob (Judy), Michael and Tom, friend of many. Former owner of Di Vito's Nela Florist for 40 years. Born in Matrice, Italy to Michele and Carmela Di Vito, Lou immigrated to America in 1928 with his family, and settled in Cleveland, OH. He started his own floral business in 1942 and was immediately drafted and served in the US Army until the end of WWII in 1945. Upon his discharge, he resumed an active role in the floral business until retiring in 1983. he also served as an active member on the board of directors of Interlake Stamping, Inc. in Willoughby, OH. He loved life and spent a great deal of his retirement years playing golf. He shot two "Holes-In-One," the first at age 88 and the second at age 93. To Lou, golf was a form of exercise, his true love was the friendships and the many friends withing the Eaglewood, Hobe Sound Community. He often said "Eaglewood is my home, the members are my friends, I love them." Also known for his annual Eaglewood Christmas lighting event, he spent the entire year planning his layout.
