MARGARET C OLSON

MARGARET C OLSON (nee Whitaker), age 79. Beloved wife of the late Luther Olson. Loving mother of Mark Olson (Robin) and Jenny Jakse (Ken). Cherished grandmother of Greta, Maureen, Kristin and Nicholas. Devoted sister of Thomas R Whitaker (Ann) and Ann Harris (deceased).

Memorial Service 11 am Saturday, September 17 at St Bartholomew Episcopal Church, 435 SOM Center Road, Mayfield Village, with a light recption to follow.

Margaret was born in Madison, Wisconsin, to Sarah (Houk) and J.R. Whitaker. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. Margaret earned her college degrees from Oberlin College and the University of Michigan (art history), where she met Luther. They were married August 17, 1961, and lived in Solon, Ohio, and then Lyndhurst, Ohio. Margaret worked as a homemaker, raising Jenny and Mark – then as a secretary at Case Western Reserve University (Communication Sciences department) for several years. Margaret loved writing letters, bird-watching, art, music, theater and reading.
