Marianne B. Peterson

Marianne Margaret Barry Peterson, age 95, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon February 18 at home in Orange Village, Ohio, in the presence of her son Arvid James Peterson and husband Arvid S. Peterson. She was born January 31, 1922 in Oakland, CA, the daughter of James Purd Barry and Grace Hanie Barry. Raised in Piedmont, CA and Pacific Heights in San Francisco, she attended Holy Names High School and University of California, Berkeley. Prior to marriage she worked as a legal secretary in San Francisco, where she met her husband of 62 years. They started married life in Los Angeles, CA, where they built their first home and fostered their son Jim. Accompanying her husband's transfer to Cleveland with TRW in 1980, she became an avid Cleveland booster. She was creative with needlepoint, loved cookIng and entertaining, and provided a warm and welcoming home. She will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, March 1st at the Church of the Western Reserve, 30500 Fairmont Blvd., Pepper Pike, OH 44124.
