Mary Carmela De Marco

Mary Carmela De Marco, "Carm", 97 years of age. Beloved daughter of Alfredo and Giovannina De Marco, cherished sister of Michael (deceased), Corradino (deceased), Salvatore (Mary Ellen, deceased), John (wife Priscilla) and Anne. Loving aunt of Fred (Julie), John, Michael (Nancy), Anthony, Sam Barkdull (deceased) and Perry Barkdull; great auntof Anthony (Yolo) and Lexi Nurva-Curey (Justin).

Carm retired from the City of Cleveland Heights, and began to tutor second graders in an East Cleveland school, and catechizing children at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in the Good Shepherd program. A humble woman, Carm opened her heart to all children, giving them her time, love and understanding. These same gifts, given to Carm by her Creator, were given to all people; family, friends and strangers who were placed in her path.

Carm passed away on December 19th. The love of family and friends surrounded her during her six month illness. A special thank you to all those who prayed for and gave their time and love to Carm. She will be missed by many.

Family and Friends are invited to gather at Holy Rosary Church, 12021 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, OH 44106 on Saturday, December 27, 2025 for a Rosary at 9:30 am and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Lake View Cemetery.
