MIRIAM L. TAMBURRO (nee Wagner), age 92, entered into rest March 10, 2020. "Mimi" is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Raymond P. Tamburro, and three step-sons, Peter, James "Jim" and John Tamburro. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Louise (nee Naumann) Wagner and her brother, William (Betty) Wagner.
Mimi graduated from Heights High School in 1945 with academic honors. While working, she was a caregiver to her parents and two of her aunts. She retired from General Electric, Nela Park in 1989 after 35 years in their insurance department. An avid lover of all creatures great and small, Mimi and Ray, together with their beagle, Boomer, enjoyed their retirement. Mimi loved photographing their travels, Bridge and card nights with family and friends, trips to the casino and neighborhood Thursday night Bocce nights, needlework and various charitable animal organizations.
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened," from Anatole France's quote describes her best. Rest in peace, Miriam.
