Nancy Wilson

Nancy Wilson passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

She is survived by four children, Debbie (Rick) Lathrop, Bobby (Bonnie) Wirth, Kim (Bob) Hovanes, and Holly (Jason) Glaspie. She is a beloved grandmother to six grandchildren: Brooke Donnelly, Miranda Cox, Bobby Hovanes, Zachary Hovanes, Nick Lathrop and Jacob Hovanes, and a great grandmother to Landry and Peyton Cox.  She also leaves behind her loving ‘sister’ and ‘brother’ Carol Nocito and Bob MacKinnon, along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Putting herself through nursing school while her children were young, she found her calling working as a hospice nurse where she helped an untold numbers of families cope with their grief.  

Nancy was a diehard Cleveland Guardians fan as well.  She never missed a game.  During her last days, she was thrilled to hear that the manager, Terry “Tito” Francona, won Manager of the Year.

Nancy was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  Her family was always her priority.  She had a so many friends whom she loved and cherished, two of which have become like family – Agnes & David.  Nancy & Agnes would take turns sharing meals & snacks, and check in with each other every morning to be sure everything was okay. They shared enthusiasm for the Guardians as well!  David and Nancy would often work out in their respective gardens, and knowing of her love for donuts, he would bring them to her often!

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the Villa Serena Apartments (6800 Mayfield Road, Mayfield Heights, OH) from 12PM – 2PM.
