Raymond P. Tamburro, age 95, passed away on November 27th. He survived the depression, was a WWII veteran, a dedicated husband of both Rosemary (nee Fioritto, deceased 1974) and Miriam (nee Wagner, deceased 2020), was a devout father of his children with Rosemary, Peter (deceased 2020) and twins James and John. He was a loving brother of Deanna Apfl and the following deceased: Norma Thomas, Andrew, Christine "Tina)" Eland and Michael. He was a tinkerer who loved to fix things (he referred to these as his “projects”), as well as musician, fisherman, golfer, and a proud Italian … plus some trips to the casino. He worked for Hillis Equipment for 32 years, retiring in 1989 as a Vice President, Service. If you asked him what was most important to him, he would have responded, “Taking care of my family.”
Interment All Souls Cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Thursday, December 1 at St. Paschal Baylon Church. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD RD., LYNDHURST (East of Richmond Rd.) ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30 FROM 4 TO 7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ray's parish, Saint Paschal Baylon Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Road, Highland Heights, Ohio 44143 or their Helping Hands Ministry which serves the homeless, c/o Bob Ukovik at the same address, please note "in memory of Ray Tamburro" on the check.
