Richard "Dick" Marabito

Richard (Dick) S. Marabito, age 84. Beloved Husband for 41 years of Marie (nee Patete).
Loving Father of Richard (wife Polly), Karen Carl (husband John), Christine Hansen (husband Lance) and Laura Nero (husband Joe).
Cherished Poppie and Grandpa of Michael Marabito, Joseph Marabito, Anthony Carl, Alexander Carl, Nicholas Carl, Cooper Hansen, Jack Hansen, Christopher Nero and Alexis Nero.
Loving Uncle, Cousin and Friend of many.

Richard graduated from Brush High School in Lyndhurst in 1953 and from North Central College in 1959. He had a lifelong passion for football,
which began in high school, continued through college and into his adult life. Dick was a teacher, administrator, as well as track and
football coach at several area high schools, including St. John Canisius, Elyria Catholic, Cathedral Latin, St. Peter Chanel and Gilmour Academy.
He also coached football at the collegiate level at North Central College and John Carroll University. While at St. Peter Chanel, Richard introduced
the motto "GFGF" - God / Family / Grades / Football which embodied his philosophy on life.
Dick fully embraced his Italian/Sicilian heritage, as he enjoyed Italian food and wine, cooking, the language, culture and
a trip to Italy and Sicily in 2001.
