Robert Anthony Antonelli Sr., age 86, born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 8, 1939 to Patrick and Leondina (nee Capretta), passed away peacefully at his North Royalton home with his loving family by his side on September 6, 2026.
He grew up in Cleveland Heights and was a proud United States Army veteran, having served his country while stationed in Korea.
Robert was the co-owner of A.C.R. Equipment, a heavy construction equipment business he operated alongside his brothers. Work often took him to the New Orleans area, where he established many lasting friendships. He took great pride in the business he helped build and the relationships he formed along the way. Outside of work, his greatest priority was spending time with his family, and he was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He was also a lifelong lover of dogs, most recently Dixie and Nessie. He enjoyed good meals with family and friends and always brought laughter to nearly every aspect of life.
Robert was a devout Catholic whose faith was an important part of his life. He lived that faith through his compassion for others and passed this faith on to his family.
He is survived by his loving sons, Robert Anthony Jr. (Amy) of Broadview Heights and Jason Carmen of Columbus; his cherished grandchildren, Kayleigh Rose DiSante (Jeff), Robert Anthony III, and Dominic Michael; his great-granddaughter, Hazel Elizabeth DiSante; and his brothers, Patrick and David.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores Marie, his parents, and his sister, Jeanne Provenza.
To his family and friends, Robert was much more than a proud grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, father, brother, and friend. Robert was an extraordinary person who touched countless lives and left an enduring mark on everyone he met. He will be remembered for his stories, authenticity, humor, love, and empathy.
May he rest in eternal peace.
