Robert L Beachy

Bob Lindsay Beachy, age 91, passed away peacefully May 14, 2025 at Ohio Living Breckenridge Village in Willoughby, Ohio. Born February 2, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, Bob was the son of Garrison Lincoln and Jean Lindsay Beachy. Because of his father's military service during World War II, Bob lived and attended school in many states until high school. He graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1952 and Purdue University in 1964 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had a successful career at Ohio Bell / AT&T as a cost analysis manager.

Bob had a rich life. He loved the outdoors, backpacked local trails in New Mexico, Colorado and Yellowstone along with going on safari to Kenya and Tanzania. He loved the water and was a certified diver, and did dives in Micronesia / Palau and the Caymen Islands. He also crewed for friends on Lake Erie.

As an avid skier most winters he could be found skiing often in Aspen, Vail or Crested Butte. He also Nordic skied locally and in Yellowstone and Vermont.

After his retirement Bob vacationed for 13 years with his long-time friend Ann and her family at the Outer Banks. He took up woodworking, focusing on Shaker furniture and cutting boards.

Bob is survived by his sister Barbara Huston of Millersburg, Ohio and a caring long-time friend Ann Robinson, who wish to thank all those at Ohio Living for the care they gave Bob.

Memorial Service will be held 11 am Wednesday, June 4 at THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD RD, LYNDHURST (E OF RICHMOND RD).
