Rosalie Mancuso (nee Lazzara), of Concord Township, was born on October 8, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio, the only child of Salvatore "Sam' and Rose (nee Bruno) Lazzara. She completed her life's journey on September 11 at David Simpson Hospice House following a short illness.
After graduating from John Adams High School in 1948, Rosalie worked as a bookkeeper for Bloomfield's, a dress maker. She married Anthony Mancuso on September 10, 1956 in Cleveland, moving to Wickliffe in 1959. Rosalie worked at Wickliffe Public Library for 25 years, first as a clerk at the circulation desk, retiring in 1991 as administrative secretary. In 1996, she moved to Concord Township to be closer to her grandchildren.
Famous for her homemade pasta sauce and legendary Thanksgiving dinners, Rosalie also loved reading and solving crossword puzzles. Her favorite thing to do, though, was to spend quality time with her granddaughters, son and daughter-in-law as well as with her grand dogs, Lucy and Olive.
Rosalie is survived by her son, Kenneth (wife Kathy) of Concord Township, granddaughters Marina (fiancé Brandon Chandra) of Phoenix and Alissa of Concord. In addition, she leaves many nieces, nephews and friends. Rosalie was predeceased by her husband of forty-six years, and by her parents.
