Tom, age 85,  was called home to his Creator on April 6, 2026. Beloved husband for 36 years of Sandra Bonnot, dedicated father of Timothy (deceased) and Dennis Rarick (wife Amanda Brace), Dr. Denise Mirando (deceased) (husband Dr. William Mirando) and David Bonnot (deceased), cherished grandfather of David Mirando (wife Amber), Agnes Karabulut (husband Sencer) and Matthew Mirando, proud great grandfather of Michelle and Meadow Karabulut, beloved middle son of Loren and Irene Rarick (both deceased), brother of Gerald and Richard Rarick (both deceased). Tom was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Stephen and Mary Sziter, maternal aunts and uncles Mary, Stephen, Joseph, Adolph and Robert Sziter; paternal grandparents Guy and Ida (nee Kleiber) Rarick, paternal aunts and uncles Gertrude, Irene, Gerald and Howard (wife Lillian) Rarick.

Tom grew up in the Collinwood area of Cleveland and attended St. Joseph High School in Cleveland. Upon graduating, Tom enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years before being honorably discharged in 1964. He was stationed in Massachusetts at the Otis Air Force Base where he learned to repair radar in the fighter jets. After leaving the U.S. Air Force, Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve. When he attended Case Western Reserve, he was a walk-on player for the basketball team. After he and Sandy married In December of 1989, they enjoyed a long and loving marriage. They shared many years of co-leading Bible Study groups, hosting friends and family in card games, traveling and chauffeuring grandchildren between events, weekly dinners with grandchildren, cookouts, and their deep faith. 

Tom loved watching the Cleveland Browns, the Ohio State and Notre Dame football teams, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Cleveland Guardians. Tom, like his father Loren and brother Rick, was a “Tinkerer”. He had a habit of picking up lawnmowers and snowblowers and giving them a second life, often gifting them to his friends and family. He was known for reworking all kinds of machines and appliances and lending a helping hand to neighbors and friends. Tom practiced his faith as a devout Roman Catholic by volunteering to be a Eucharistic Minister and sharing his gift of song in the Church choir. Tom was also an accordion player when friends and guests gathered during the holidays. Tom was a beloved friend of many through his 25 years at Picker X-ray, avid golfing, and volunteering at St. Margaret Mary Church as well as his neighborhood friends.. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Saturday, April 11, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6850 Mayfield Road, Gates Mills, OH 44040 followed by Interment at All Souls Cemetery with Military Honors. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD ROAD, LYNDHURST (East of Richmond Road) on Saturday from 9 to 9:30 am.
