VICTOR J. NIRO, age 80

Beloved husband for 57 years of Anna (nee Angelone). Loving father of Gennaro (Linda), Anita McLaughlin (Patrick), Victoria Cappas (Samuel), Mary Paquette (Corey) and Angela Del Prete. Cherished grandfather of Victor (Wife Maria), Sarah, Gabriella, Jack, Anna, Alexander, Michael, Molly, Allyssa, Leonardo, Abigail, Caroline, Benjamin. Dearest son of Gennaro and Vittoria Niro (both deceased). Loving brother of Angelina Niro (Pietro, deceased), Frank (deceased)(Anna) and Antoinette Carnevale (Mario). Uncle and great uncle of many.

Victor was a man who loved his family above all else and no amount of time with them would have been enough, though he gave them enough love to last several lifetimes. He immigrated to America from Italy as a teenager and was determined to live the American Dream, which he did with vigor.

Victor had a subtle but contagious sense of humor with a sly smile and a mischievous laugh.  He was slow to anger, and quick with affection.  He was a role model to all and will be greatly missed.  

Family and friends are invited to meet for Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Saturday at St Michael Church, 6540 Brecksville Rd, Independence, 44131. Friends may call at Fortuna Funeral Home, 7076 Brecksville Rd, Independence 4-8 pm Friday.
