William D Conkey

WILLIAM DEVITT CONKEY, age 74, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024. He was born October 15, 1949 to the late William J.  and Mary Catherine Conkey (nee Bouhall). He was a devoted husband for 49 years of Therese Marie (nee Keating), loving father of Jennifer Therese Conkey and Loretta Ann (Eric) Begin. Cherished Grandfather of Donald (Donnie) William Begin. Loving brother of Michael J. (Mary) and Sr. Mary Kay Conkey OSU, loving uncle and beloved cousin of many.

Bill retired from The Plain Dealer Publishing Co. after 40 years of service. After retirement, he took his passion for photography and turned it into a small business at local art and craft shows. Many of his photos are displayed throughout the city. He was also an active member for over 50 years with The St. Vincent DePaul Society. He spent his entire life in the Cleveland area, building life-long friendships surrounded by those he loved.

Interment All Souls Cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Saturday, January 6, 2024 at St. Philomena Church of Communion of Saints Parish, 13824 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, OH 44112. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD RD., LYNDHURST (EAST OF RICHMOND RD.) ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, 2024 FROM 3 TO 7 pm.
