WILLIAM J. DICK, SR., age 93, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 24, 2018.
Devoted husband of the late Florence (Koss). Loving father of Linda (Arthur) Smith, Marilyn (George) Morton and William (Susan) Dick, Jr. Adoring grandfather of Nevada (Lisa) Smith, Seneca (Matthew) Wheelock, Timothy (Helen) Dick, and Kimberly (Bill) Bender. Enthusiastic great-grandfather to Brian and Henry Wheelock and Grant and Bella Mae Bender. He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Helen, brother John and sister Helen.
A carpenter for more than 60 years, he was an avid Cleveland sports fan and John Wayne enthusiast who shared his contagious laugh and work ethic. Often the strong, silent pillar next to his wife of 53 years, his words were as loving as they were meaningful.
Interment All Souls Cemetery. Family and Friends are invited to meet for Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at St. Malachi Catholic Church, 2459 Washington Avenue, Cleveland 44113. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD RD, LYNDHURST (E OF RICHMOND RD) 2-4 AND 6-8 PM TUESDAY.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
